Even a student from tier 2 or 3 college will have a top salary of 15L per annum. An IIT graduate as a fresher can have an average salary of 25L per annum. Its not that he is an IITian but it depends on the company and the designation.

The Average Salary this year is Rs 11.32 lakh. B.Tech Students obtained a slightly higher salary than the Dual Degree and M. Tech Students.

IIT Bombay has wrapped up Phase 1 of its placements with about 275 companies visiting the campus and making offers to 950 students across all the programmes.
