IIT Bombay Placements 2025 - Highest Package, Average Package, Student Placed

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has released placements for 2023-24. 543 companies registered, of these 388 participated in the placements and 364 companies made offers during IIT Bombay placements 2024. There was a 12% increase in the number of recruiting companies. IIT Bombay average package offered to students is Rs 23.50 LPA. 

In IIT Bombay placements 2023-24, 1650 job offers were made and 78 international offers were made. For UG students, IIT Bombay highest package stood at Rs 1.68 crores. In the year 2023-24, 90% of BS students were placed as per the IIT Bombay placement reports and 88% of B.Tech students were placed. During IIT Bombay placements, around 40 companies conducted interviews in two slots. 

On day one, there was an 80% increase in regular recruiters compared to the previous year's placement drives in IIT Bombay. Top companies such as Procter and Gamble, Sony Japan, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and Tata Group participated in the IIT Bombay placements. IIT Bombay NIRF 2025 Placements

According to the NIRF 2025 overall report, 731 UG 4-year students were placed with IIT Bombay median package of Rs 19.61 LPA. 156 UG 5-year students were placed during IIT Bombay placements 2024 with median package of Rs 19.25 LPA. Likewise, IIT Bombay median salary package of PG 2-year students is Rs 17.30 LPA.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Placement Process

• The placement office sends invitations to the companies to attend the IIT Bombay placement drive.

• Interested recruiters will create an account on the website of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. 

• Recruiters can then create the jobs or internships containing the job details which the executive officers will verify.

• After verifications, the job offers are made available for the students and interested students can apply for these jobs.

• Companies shortlist the students based on their resumes.

• Thereafter, companies conduct the screening process and shortlist the students for the interview process. 

•  Companies provide a list of the selected students to the IITB placement cell.
