IIT Madras cutoff 2025 will be influenced by many factors. Some of the factors influencing the IIT Madras cut off are given below.
Change in Exam Difficulty: If the JEE Advanced 2025 paper is relatively easier then the IIT Madras cut-off will be higher.
Increased Competition: Increase in the number of JEE Advanced applicants has increased competition and the IIT Madras JEE Advanced cut-off 2025.
Availability of Seats: If the number of seats is high then the cutoff will be comparatively less. If the IIT Madras has fewer seats, then the cutoff will be comparatively high.
Category-Wise Analysis: Reserved categories like SC/ST/OC-NCL will have different IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff. Reserved categories will have less cutoff when compared to unreserved categories.
Choose appropriate books for your preparation: Look for books that are suggested by teachers and books that clearly and concisely explain ideas. NCERT books are a great resource for developing fundamental concepts.
Go through previous years’ papers and mock tests: For students to obtain a sense of the exam format, previous year's papers and JEE mock exams are important resources. Completing practice exams also helps students identify areas for improvement and gain confidence in their preparation.
Time Management: Check for the chapter-wise weightage of the JEE Advanced 2025. Utilise your most active hours for exploring demanding topics.
Keep revising the topics
IIT Madras cutoff varies from one category to another.
The infrastructure of my college is well-developed and student-friendly. The campus is clean, green, and spacious, providing a pleasant environment for learning. Classrooms are modern, equipped with smart boards and projectors that support interactive teaching.
This college is full of tree with deer and monkey. Along with this there so many sustainable and ecofriendly building. The infrastructure of the college is very good as compare to other IITs and private institute.
Very pretty campus and well equipped infrastructure. The campus is clean and the library is the abode of knowledge with ample amount of books and research papers. The modern labs and advanced research centres fosters both academic and extracurricular excellence.
Certainly
Admission to IIT Madras, like all Indian Institutes of Technology, is highly competitive and governed by strict eligibility criteria. To qualify, candidates must clear JEE Advanced and also meet specific academic standards. The official requirements state that applicants must either achieve a minimum of 75% marks in their Class 12 examinations (65% for SC, ST, or PwD categories), or rank within the top 20 percentile of their respective board for the relevant category.
With a score of 49%, you would not meet the general marks criterion. Your eligibility now depends on whether this score places you within the top 20 percentile of your board for your category. It is advisable to check your board’s percentile cutoffs for your specific year and category to confirm this.
If you are not eligible this year, you might consider preparing to retake JEE Main and Advanced in the next cycle, provided you meet age and attempt limits. Alternatively, you could explore admission to other reputable institutions such as IIITs, NITs (if your JEE Main score is competitive), state engineering colleges, or private universities with more flexible entry requirements.
Should you wish, I can assist in identifying colleges that align with your current academic profile and category. Please let me know if you would like more tailored guidance.
Hello Aspirant,
When applying to BS in Medical Sciences and Engineering at IIT Madras via the IAT (IISER Aptitude Test) for the OBC-NCL Female category, the suggested ranks and marks can differ every year depending on the level of difficulty or how many took the exam. However, based on the trends from year-to-year:
Hey student! To get admission in the dual degree Aerospace Engineering program at IIT Madras through the female quota, your JEE Advanced rank should ideally be within 6000 to 6500. This is based on recent trends and can vary slightly each year depending on seat availability and cutoffs.
If your rank is around or below 6000, your chances are quite strong. Even if it's a little above that, you might still get in during the later rounds of JoSAA counselling, especially if others withdraw or shift branches.
So, aim for a good rank and keep an eye on the counselling rounds. You’ve got a realistic shot if you stay within that range.
All the best!
