B.Tech Electrical Engineering

Admissions to B.Tech. Programs are made through the all-India level Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by IITs. The procedures and other requirements for admission are specified in the JEE Information Brochure brought out every year.

1. Foreign Nationals

Applicants, who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2016 will be treated as Foreign Nationals. Seats allotted to foreign nationals will be supernumerary with an upper limit of 10% of the total number of seats allocated for Indian Nationals, in every program. Foreign Nationals will be outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the OBCNCL, SC, ST and PwD categories as specified herein. Details of the method of admission, fee, and other conditions are being worked out; the same will be posted on the website as soon as they become available.

2. Reservation of Seats and Admission to Reserved Seats for Indian Nationals

Reservation of seats for the various categories shall be in accordance with the policy of the Government of India. The admission process for the reserved seats is as stated below:

(a) SC and ST Candidates: Reserved seats are filled on the basis of JEE qualifying norms specified for them. In case these reserved seats remain vacant, other SC and ST candidates (who appeared in JEE and satisfy certain relaxed conditions) are offered admission to the Preparatory Course of one-year duration in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. On completion of the preparatory course and passing of the examination conducted by the Institute, the candidates are offered admission to the first year of B.Tech. Program against the vacant reserved seats of the year of their appearance in JEE.

(b) Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates (Not belonging to creamy layer): Reserved seats are filled on the basis of JEE qualifying norms specified for them.

(c) PD Candidates: Reserved seats are filled on the basis of JEE qualifying norms specified for them. In case these reserved seats remain vacant, other candidates in their respective categories are offered admission.

3. Change of Program

Normally, students shall pursue the respective B.Tech. Program allocated to them at the time of admission. But, the Senate may permit a limited number of students to change their Program as per approved guidelines.

IIT Jodhpur Admission Process

Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur offers admission to B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, Dual Degree, BS and many more. IIT Jodhpur admissions are offered to a total of 80 courses. Candidates need to appear for JEE Advanced and sit for the JoSAA counselling for the IIT Jodhpur admissions to B.Tech courses.

IIT Jodhpur admission process for M.Tech programmes are based on GATE and counselling registration. IIT Jodhpur M.Sc. admission is made through the JAM score. IIT Jodhpur admission criteria for some courses may also involve evaluating the candidates' previous academic performances. During the counselling registration, candidates must select the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur as their preferred college. B.Tech/BS	1. Candidates who got selected through JoSAA counselling must pay IIT Jodhpur B.Tech fees. 2. Report to the IIT Jodhpur with all the documents for verification.
M.Tech	1. After registering for COAP, fill out the IIT Jodhpur M.Tech application form from the official website of the college. 2. Pay IIT Jodhpur M.Tech application fees of Rs. 300 for General and OBC applicants, and Rs 150 for SC, ST, and PD applicants.
MBA	1. Fill out the IIT Jodhpur MBA application form from the official website of the college. 2. Pay the IIT Jodhpur MBA application fees of Rs 1,200 for Unreserved, OBC-NCL & EWS category and Rs 600 for the SC/ST/PwD category.
M.Sc	1. Candidates who are allotted seats through CCMN counselling must report to IIT Jodhpur with all the required documents for verification.
PhD	1. Visit the official website and fill out an IIT Jodhpur application form. 2. Upload the required documents and pay the application fees of of Rs. 300 for General and OBC applicants, and Rs 150 for SC, ST, and PD applicants and submit the form.

IIT Jodhpur UG Admissions 2025

Around eight B.Tech specialisations and 2 BS programmes are available at IIT Jodhpur at the UG level. Some seats in the B.Tech programmes are also reserved for the SC, ST, OBC, and PD candidates. The details of IIT Jodhpur admission criteria for UG courses are given below.

Final selections are done through the JOSAA counselling board based on the JEE Advanced score and choice filled.

IIT Jodhpur M.Tech Admission Process

Candidates must meet IIT Jodhpur M.Tech eligibility criteria.
Apply, appear and qualify for the GATE.
Then, candidates have to participate in COAP counselling and they need to select IIT Jodhpur during the choice filling.
Candidates will be allotted seats for IIT Jodhpur M.Tech admissions as per their preference and GATE 2025 scores.
Candidates who have qualified B.Tech from any of the CFTIs with CPI or CGPA 8/10 or above are exempted from GATE.
Once the seat is allotted, candidates have to pay the course fee to confirm IIT Jodhpur admission.

Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur M.Sc Admission Process

Register for the JAM and obtain a valid score on the Joint Admission Test.
Further, candidates have to register for the JAM counselling.
Candidates have to choose IIT Jodhpur during the choice filling.
The candidates will be shortlisted for IIT Jodhpur M.Sc admissions based on the scores obtained in the JAM examination.
After the seat allotment, candidates have to get the document verified and pay the fee to complete the IIT Jodhpur admission process.

IIT Jodhpur MBA Admission Procedure

Register for the CAT and appear for it.
Fill out the application form available online on the IIT Jodhpur website.
Initial shortlisting is based on academic profile, CAT, work experience, professional qualification, gender diversity and extra-curricular achievements commences.
Final selection is made based on the CAT score, academic profile, work experience, introduction video of the candidate, gender diversity, achievement in extracurricular activities and PG/professional qualification.
The selected candidates for IIT Jodhpur MBA admission will be notified to the registered mobile number/mail ID.
To complete the IIT Jodhpur admission procedure the candidate should submit the required documents along with the payment of course fees.

IIT Jodhpur PhD Admissions 2025
