Hello,

See, predicting a career prospect for next 10-15 years like predicting future because you never know.what can happen in a economy. You can see currently there is economic slowdown and various sectors like retail, automobile etc are facing lot of losses and the employment is very low and if you will go back few year then automobile sector was doing amazing so its hard to predict what can happen in future but mechanical engineering is overall a good branch but you have to make sure that you do it from a good college. There are various companies like Goldman Sachs,Ernst & Young,Deutsche bank etc that deal in.inveatmnet and finance also offer jobs to mechanical engineers in top IITs and you can also always have the option of moving to government jobs through GATE and UPSC CSE and ESE exams so choice is yours.

I hope this helps.
