Hello,
In order to appear for JEE Advanced, candidates have to pass JEE Main 2021 (Paper 1) and also the candidate need to be among the top 2,50,000. Each category has reserved percentage of seats for the exam.
- GEN-EWS - 10%
- OBC-NCL - 27%
- SC - 15%
- ST - 7.5%
- OPEN - 40.5%
- PwD - 5%
Last year shortlisting cut off percentile for JEE Advanced were:
- Open: 89.7548849
- GEN-EWS : 78.2174869
- OBC-NCL: 74.3166557
- SC: 54.0128155
- ST: 44.3345172
- PwD: 0.1137173
So, if you are general category candidate then you have to score more than 70-75 marks in Mains in order to be eligible for advanced.
good luck!
Dear aspirant,
There is nothing like lowest marks . The cut off varies every year and it is now on the basis of percentile and so it can't be predicted what would be the lowest marks to qualify for jee advanced.
But you should stay in general 91 percentile for general category . But note it is as per my observations.
