For admission in NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs Admission, you need to obtain a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or you must be in the top 20 percentile in your class 12 examination. For SC/ ST, the eligibility is to obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 or equivalent.
So , if you are from state board then you need to be in top 20 percentile in order to be eligible, now you haven't mentioned from which state board are you, but top 20 percentile varies from state to state , for example if I tell you about jharkhand then for jharkhand state board, top 20 percentile for general category was 321 marks i.e 64.2% in the year 2019 , also as top 20 percentile varies from state to state you can get an idea about marks required by you to be in top 20 percentile for your state board by going through our page for which link is provided below :-
