This year  CAT 2019 Exam date is November 24, 2019. Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 is the mandatory entrance exam for admission to MBA 2020 in 20 IIMs and other top MBA colleges in India. The exam is therefore referred to as IIM CAT and is conducted by IIMs on annual basis.



CAT 2019 Exam will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode in two sessions on Sunday November 24, 2019 as computer based test at more than 400 testing venues across the country. More than 2 lakh candidates appear in Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by one of the older IIMs every year. Last year 2.41 lakhs candidates had registered and applied for CAT exam.

CAT 2019 is expected to be held on November 24, 2019. The official notification for the same will be released tentatively on July 28, 2019 on the official website of CAT i.e., iimcat.ac.in. Candidates will be able to register themselves for the exam from August 5, 2019, onwards.

• IIM Kozhikode will be conducting the entrance test in 2 sessions across 140 exam centers of the country.
• As per the CAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria , applicants should have a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
• CAT Registration will commence from August 5, 2019.
• This year, the application fee for a general category applicant is INR 1900.
• CAT (Common Admission Test) is computer-based management entrance exam held for the candidates seeking admissions in MBA, PGDM and other postgraduate management courses from the top b-schools of India. The exam is conducted by IIMs on a rotational basis.
• IIM Kozhikode, the expected exam authority of CAT 2019 will release the official notification for the exam tentatively on July 28. After the release of notification, CAT 2019 Registration will start. The notification will contain all the details regarding registration, admit card, result, exam dates, etc. It also gives details about the programs offered by the IIMs. Any changes, if made will be notified by the exam authority.

Eligibility

Candidates planning to take the exam must fulfill CAT Eligibility Criteria prescribed by the exam conducting body. Below given are the CAT 2019 eligibility criteria, students must know.

• There will be no age restriction for taking the CAT 2019 examination.
• Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree. Final year graduates are also eligible to take the test.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% marks for SC/ST/PWD categories).
• Candidates, those possess an equivalent examination recognized by the MHRD, Government of India (including AMICE of the Institution of Civil Engineers (India) as an equivalent qualification) can also apply.

The CAT exam is usually held in the end of November month. CAT 2019 Exam will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode in two sessions on Sunday November 24, 2019 as computer based test. It will have a morning session and an afternoon one.
