Whether an Ms student can appear For net exam?

Dear Student,

Yes, you can appear for NET exam as students who have done Masters from correspondence, are eligible for the UGC NET exam. It is not necessary to do a regular post graduation course. It's just you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters. And also remember that if you apply for JRF, your age must not be more than 30 years. For the assistant professor, there is no restriction regarding the age.

Because, As per the required UGC NET qualification:

  • Candidates possessing a postgraduate degree with 55% marks are eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Candidates should not be more than 31 years of age for JRF. However, there is no age restriction to apply for the post of Assistant Professor.
