A parents body has filed a PIL in the Supreme Court requesting for JEE Mains and NEET to be postponed further due to the increased cases. And they have come up with 10 reasons as to why NEET should be further postponed. And Parents body from Gujarat also filed a PIL requesting NEET and JEE Mains to be conducted as per schedule without any delay. A PIL was also filed by 11 students across India asking NEET and JEE to be postponed. Supreme Court is yet to pass an order on any of these. There is a hearing that is likely to be heard on the August 17th. But meanwhile NTA and IIT Delhi did inform the Supreme Court that JEE Advanced and NEET cannot be held overseas this year. This was in response to another PIL filed by parents stating that NEET and JEE need to be postponed as Candidates cannot come from abroad and appear for the exam as there are no international flights and then there are quarantine rules in place as well. This is the information that we have so far.
