DU SOL is an public centered university and IGNOU is basically a University that supports Distant Education.

In SOL you are required to attend classes and exam center are assigned by the university that you have applied for.IGNOU provides you with the facility to choose the exam center .IGNOU is recognized worldwide.

SOL conducts  exam on annual basis and IGNOU conducts exam semester wise.

According to me IGNOU would be a good option for distant education

DU SOL only offers BA program, BA English(Hons),BA Political Science(Hons),BCom(Hons),BCom. It doesn't offer BA Psychology.So, the only option left between the two choice you've provided is IGNOU, it's a wonderful university to pursue higher education in distance mode, the study materials provided to are easy to manage and can be studied with self efforts also, so you can go ahead with IGNOU.
