Electronics and communication engineering and computer science engineering are two very different streams, so, you'll have to choose wisely based on the scope, your interests etc.  Both of these branches are known for placements. However, cse surpasses ece in some of the institutions. Between nit raipur, and nit Kurukshetra, i'll highlight some key points based on the differences between these two institutions:

• Rank of NIT Kurukshetra is 40 against NIT Raipur is around 67 ( NIRF ranking).
• The average starting salary for btech is same in both of the colleges.
• The course fee for ece at NIT Kurukshetra is around 5.67 lakhs while at nit raipur, for cse it's around 5.4 lakhs.
• Based on reviews by students, nit Kurukshetra ece has been rated 4.1 and nit raipur has been rated 3.7
