Hi. The basic pre requisite for a degree in software engineering is as follows:

1. The main subjects in class 11 will be physics, mathematics, and chemistry along with one language subject and another optional subject

2. In class 12 boards, the candidate needs to score a minimum percentage

3. The candidate will then need to appear in the JEE examination and score well above the cut off marks for his or her respective category.

Hi Aspirant,

You should take computer science in class 11 and later you can take CS engineering to become software engineering. Moreover most colleges offer good placements in CS enginneing with a quite good salary package. You have to take PCM as subjects in class 11 to pursue engineering later.

Hope it helps!!
