Correct Answer: Muhammad bin Tughluq

Solution : The correct answer is Muhammad bin Tughluq .

The first use of leather money in India dates back to the 13th century. It was introduced as a mass-produced form of currency by the emperor Muhammad bin Tughluq. He was inspired by paper money that was used in China. Muhammad bin Tughluq introduced token money in India in 1330. After his failed mission to Deogiri, he minted brass and copper coins whose value was equal to that of gold and silver coins.
