Software Engineering is a specialized course as a result it needs a good background about the coding in order to learn Software engineering in details. As a result for Software Engineering, the course is offered in MTech. So if you want to go for BTech CSE/IT then after that you can get jobs in software engineering genre as well. So if you aspire to be a software engineer, you can go for CSE/IT or you can get into MTech to know in more details about Software Engineering.
