If you have had science stream in your higher secondary with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects, then you are eligible to apply for BTech courses. Do not worry about the academic gap. it won't be considered. If you are interested in BTech then apply for it. But, you will have to answer entrance exams for getting admission in engineering colleges.

• If you want admission at national level colleges like IIT and NIT, you will have to answer JEE Mains paper 1.
• If you want admission in colleges like BITS, VIT or Manipal Institute of technology, you will have to answer the entrance exam conducted by them.
• If you want admission within your state itself, then you have to answer CET exam conducted by the state board.
