Hi Vivek,
According to the DU admissions 2019 process there is mandatory inclusion of Mathematics while calculating your best of four score for admission to BA Economics (Hons) while a score 50% in Mathematics is now compulsory in Class 12th if you wish to apply for BCom (Hons).
For economic hons you need to include Mathematics as one of your best four subject even if you score less marks in it.
This action has been taken as Eco (Hons) being a majorly maths driven course, mandatory inclusion of Maths in Best of Four will ensure a better quality of students at Delhi University.
This action does not ensures the decrease in cutoffs, the University may or may not decrease it. Cut offs are decided according to marks scored by the students in their boards and number of students applying for the admission in DU.
Hope this works for you.
Good luck!
