Definitely holds worth for being one the best universities!

    College Infrastructure

The Indian Institute of Science (IIS) campus of BHU is well-maintained and has fine infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious and provided with smart class techniques. We have separate seminar halls with good presentation facilities. The labs are equipped with latest scientific instruments and spacious enough for individual experiments, with skilled lab assistance. Library provided with latest edition books and journals. Hostel facility is at par with hygienic food and water.

    Academics

I'm currently pursuing masters in zoology and I recommend the teaching quality is at its best. Teachers are all student-friendly and deliver optimum teaching. Curriculum suits for NET-JRF which further helps students who want to pursue PhD. It also includes all the core subjects of zoology. All necessary practicals are also included. The syllabus along with the teaching prepares you well for the workspace outside classroom and the varied jobs in the field of science.

    Placements

There is a placement cell where you can apply for jobs at various drug companies and laboratories. Students, although, mostly prefer to join the PhD courses offered. There's a better environment for working as a research scholar. We don't get campus placements though. The average salary offered was 20k p.m. The placement process is bit tedious as you have to refer it yourself. This is in reference to IIS- BHU(zoology).

    Value for Money

There are two seats for admission. One for regular and one for paid seats. The regular seat has an admission fees of 2736 with 800 semester fees(day scholar) and 2000(for hosteliers). The paid seat admission fees is 55000 with semester fees same as that of regular seats. I feel the regular seat fees is worth it although the paid seat is much higher. But with the level of teaching and other lab facilities, I feel the money's worth it.

    Campus Life

BHU campus is complete student-friendly with an atmosphere suited for study. It has got free WiFi access. There is a separate health centre with free check up for both students and teachers. There is a hospital inside the campus. There's a lot of greenery and aesthesism. The administration and regulations are also in the benefit of students. Campus holds a lot of playgrounds where students are engaged in lot of sports activities. There are auditoriums for cultural programmes.

    Others

Apart from all the above facilities, BHU has also has an central library along with separate departmental libraries. It also has an cyber library where you can access e-journals. It has recently opened an Central Instrument Facility that has latest instruments and technical expertise for research work.

Have a question related to BHU Varanasi ?

i have not filled the general aptitude test mistakenly but bhu need it what can I do konw

    Hi Priyanshi Yadav,

I can help you with your problem. You didn't attempt or fill any questions in the aptitude test for BHU. Now you want to know what to do.First, let's talk about the BHU aptitude test. It's an important exam for admission to Banaras Hindu University.

    What to do now?

If you didn't attempt or fill any questions in the aptitude test, you might not be able to get admission to BHU. But don't worry, there are still some things you can do:

    1. Check the BHU website: Go to the official website of BHU and check if they have any information about what to do if you didn't attempt the aptitude test.

    2. Contact the BHU office: You can contact the BHU office and ask them what to do. They might be able to help you.

    3. Look for other options: If you're not able to get admission to BHU, you can look for other options. There are many other good universities and colleges in Rajasthan.

What to do in the future?

To avoid this problem in the future, here are some things you can do:

    1. Read the instructions carefully: Before the exam, read the instructions carefully. Make sure you understand what you need to do.

    2. Practice beforehand: Practice the aptitude test beforehand. This will help you understand what to expect and how to answer the questions.

    3. Get help if you need it: If you're having trouble with the aptitude test, get help. You can ask your teachers or friends for help.

I hope this helps you. Remember to stay calm and don't worry. There are always other options.

Why chs bhu call us for counselling? Is at the time of counselling the cutoff marks is increased

    Hello Vaishnavi,

CHS BHU calls students for counseling if they have cleared cutoff according to their category, verify their documents and shortlist candidates based on rank and availability of seats.

Generally cutoff marks during cutoff does not increase but in some cases when additional counseling is conducted then the cutoff may increase due to lower seat availability and candidates with high scores are considered.

Hence calling for counseling does not always mean guarantee admission as it depends on other factors like rank, available seats and choices made by higher ranked candidates.

Hey i want admission in bhu for political science hons but i do not have gat for it in cuet 2025 what to do as i have heard that gat is compulsory is that true
