36 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Three-Year Doctoral program and it is offered by the GITAM University, Visakhapatnam. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution.
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate should have passed
- M.E/ M.Tech or equivalent degree in the concerned branch.
- B.Tech in Biotechnology or B.Pharm or equivalent or B.Tech. Chemical Engineering or M.Sc in chemistry/ microbiology/ bioinformatics/ biotechnology with proficiency in basic Biology with proficiency in basic Mathematics.

College Infrastructure
Infrastructure is good. Some of the classes are air conditioned and some of them are normal classes. These classes have Wi-Fi and projectors. Classes are given based on the semesters. As it comes to food, there is not much variety and not much taste.
