The campus of the university is very big, and the minimum infrastructure is good. The classrooms of the BBA department are clean, big, and fitted with fans and projectors. Wi-Fi facility is provided in some parts of the campus. Drinking water purifiers are in place, and the area is usually kept clean. Hostel facilities for boys and girls separately are provided, with proper security and good living conditions. Of the hostel buildings, some are new and in better condition compared to others.
Some of the teachers try to make classes interesting through presentations and interactive classes, but others stick to the book. If you’re looking for a more practical learning experience, you’ll need to take your own initiative through projects or external learning. Overall, the academic environment is supportive, but not very innovative.
The placement situation for BBA students at IIMT University is average. Although there is a placement cell at the university, the number of companies visiting specifically for BBA positions is low. The majority of the offers are for entry-level positions in sales, customer service, or business development. The majority of the visiting companies are mid-sized organizations or start-ups and not large MNCs.
The facilities are fairly well-maintained, including digital classrooms and a decent library with BCA related books and resources. However, the hostel food and canteen service need improvement, they are basic and not very hygienic.
Many teachers hold PhDs and have solid teaching experience. They explain technical concepts in simple, relatable ways using examples and digital tools. The semester exams are relatively easy if you have attend lectures and kept up with your notes.
The University's placement opportunities in BCA are promising. Multiple roles were offered, from software development to UI/UX support and testing, depending on student's skills. A large number of students got internships at firms like HP, which really helped in gaining industry exposure.
The campus facilities are decent but functional. There are individual grounds for sports such as football, volleyball, and basketball, which are well maintained. The hostel facilities are decent and include proper Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess food is not highly satisfying and can be improved in terms of quality and variety.
Some of the teachers are not that interesting, but the quality of teaching is average. Internal exams and regular class tests are held, which helps in preparation for the university-level exams. The curriculum follows MCA standards and includes the basics needed by the industry.
Several students are placed with average salary packages of 4 to 5 LPA. TCS, Infosys, and other such IT companies come to the campus. The placement cell is helpful and assists students during the placement process. The majority of the positions provided are software development and IT services-related.
The Biotechnology department is well-maintained, and the labs are decently equipped for UG-level experiments Instruments like centrifuges and microscopes are available and functional. The library has a separate science section with access to reference materials and journals.
The faculty members are genuinely helpful, especially in practical classes where they focus on hands-on techniques and skill development. Most professors hold Ph D.s or have research experience, and they are supportive for clearing doubts even outside class hours.
When it comes to placements in B.Sc biotechnology, the opportunities are present but still developing. Some seniors were placed in small research labs and healthcare startups, and Last year, a few got roles in companies like Bandhan Bank, through the relevance to the biotech field.
MCA labs are well-furnished, and classrooms are large. Most of the classrooms in the new academic block are centrally air-conditioned. Hostel facilities are decent, and although the mess food may not be good, the canteen food is excellent and affordable. Medical facilities are present on campus.
To clear a subject, you must have 30% marks in theory and overall 40% including practicals. The curriculum is also aligned with industry requirements to some level, but students still have to work on additional skills such as programming, databases, and communication.
Approximately 90% of students are placed, particularly those with a high CGPA. The university also provides internship placements in the final year. Companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra have recruited in recent years.
The library is fine as far as books and space go, but we can use it only during lunch hours, not during class timings. This renders it less helpful when we really need a quiet area to study during the daytime.
The semester exams are not tough, and the passing percentage is approximately 34%. The majority of questions are from previous year papers, and there is less focus on practical business problems of the real world or practical learning.
The college gives some assistance, such as organizing placement labs and initial-level training sessions. In my stream, they only provide minor assistance, like taking us to opportunities at government associationsb, placement for BBA students only average package are available like around 3 LPA only .
College infrastructure is good and distributed on a big campus. Classrooms are well maintained and clean, with air conditioning in most of the classrooms except for some tutorial rooms. There are well-facilitated computer labs, a central library, seminar rooms, and an auditorium within the campus.
The professors at IIMT University are helpful and well-educated. The majority of the professors are kind and willing to assist you with doubts or academic questions. They assist you nicely in the sense of both subject matter as well as profession.
You can get good opportunities if you develop your communication, management, and technical skills. On-campus and off-campus placements are both done, but the majority of the high-figure offers depend on the student's individual efforts. If you possess good skills, particularly in fields such as analytics, finance, or marketing, you can target packages of up to ₹10–12 LPA. Otherwise, the average packages are between ₹3–5 LPA.
The infrastructure of IIMT College is fair and has the minimum academic setup required to study. Classrooms are utilitarian, a few air-conditioned, and labs of MCA students well-stocked with systems and software.
The teaching faculty of the MCA program is veteran and cooperative. The majority of professors are trained and attempt to keep the courses up to date with present business requirements. Having said that, the method of teaching is traditionally based with scant usage of newer tools or project-based case studies.
Being an MCA student in IIMT College, I would rate the placement scenario as average. Reasonable numbers of students do get placed every year, primarily with companies such as TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Infosys. Still, the placement drive is a bit more comfortable for B.Tech students than for MCA students. The average package of MCA fluctuates around 3–4 LPA.
The libraries and classrooms are a good place to study. As I am not staying in the hostel, I cannot comment much on that experience firsthand, but my friends who stay there frequently say that the food they get is not satisfactory. Yet, the university does have minimal amenities available and sufficient space for outdoor activities, which keeps campus life balanced.
The faculty at MCA is well-educated and friendly. Teachers here are not just concerned about academics but also help students in dealing with all parts of student life, like physical and mental well-being. The teacher-student relationship here is very informal, making it comfortable to ask questions and get help when required.
From what we hear from the faculty, about 70–80% of the students from the MCA program get placed annually. The average package tends to cross the 4 LPA mark, which is not too bad for freshers in this stream. One of the positives about the university is that it does make efforts to encourage entrepreneurship too. They provide some amount of funding assistance and mentorship to students who want to start their own startups, which is a value addition over regular placements.
IIMT offers a whole Area of sporting activities—cricket ground, football ground, volleyball, badminton, and even a futsal court, something which is found rarely in other colleges. Medical facilities are dependable, and there is 24/7 ambulance coverage for hostel students, which provides an extra measure of security.
The MCA department faculty are helpful and seasoned. They are mostly well-qualified and employ a combination of conventional and modern teaching techniques. The course material is structured to address both fundamentals and industry requirements.
placements for MCA students at IIMT University, Meerut are average in general. 60–70% of MCA department students are placed. The average salary is near 4 LPA, and although the highest salary increased to 58 LPA during 2024, these opportunities are scarce and generally come for students with extraordinary technical and communication skills. Internship chances also exist, and a few students have been able to secure good internships with college tie-ups.
