The campus of the university is decent and still being developed in some areas. The classrooms are well distributed, and a few of the blocks are furnished with smart boards and projectors. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main academic blocks but is not always reliable within hostels or outdoor areas.
The faculty here is friendly and available. The majority of the teachers go out of the way to help students with exam-relevant concepts. They provide hand-written notes, and some even conduct revision classes before exams. Routine preparation includes assignments and discussion on last year question papers.
A respectable number of students from the management stream get placements, mostly the ones who work hard and gain relevant skills. Majority of the guest companies are local or regional players like ICICI Direct, Nivesh Mitra, and regional retailing or selling agencies. Offers ranging 2.5 to 4 LPA.
The university is increasing infrastructure gradually. most of the classrooms do have ACs and smart boards. Wi-Fi is primarily restricted to labs and is not very functional in common spaces such as the canteen. There are sports facilities, and the campus is tidy, although not very trendy-looking.
The faculty members are friendly and willing to assist the students. The majority of them are highly qualified, but the teaching is more theoretical in nature. The syllabus still contains a lot of ancient subjects that are not perfectly adapted to current industry requirements.
Placement opportunities are available but not very large in number for BBA students. Students can get placed in a beginner's job, primarily in sales, customer service, or back-end operations, with basic skills and preparation. Future Generali, Teleperformance, Just Dial, and local Meerut and Delhi-NCR companies are some of the recruiters.
The infrastructure of the university is good in general. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and minimal smart classroom facilities. Wi-Fi connectivity is provided throughout the campus, though the speed is not uniform everywhere. The library is well-supplied with management books and journals.
The staff is experienced and well-versed in their fields. They are friendly and mentor the students well, particularly in project work and case studies. Although the curriculum is as per University format and can be a bit outdated, practical examples along with industry inputs are incorporated in the teaching to make it more applicable.
Placements for approximately 80–85% of students from the MBA course are primarily in the positions of marketing executive, business analyst, and sales manager. The maximum package till date has been around 30 LPA, while the average is between 6–8 LPA.
The ACs, good lighting, and minimum facilities in the classrooms are maintained reasonably well. The academic blocks on the campus are separate, and the library has a good number of books related to management. The hostels are decent.
The faculty is educated and good enough, but the teaching method is sometimes monotonous. While some professors incorporate industry exposure and use sessions smartly, others follow the bookish method. Having said that, they are friendly and willing to assist beyond class if you are proactive enough.
Placements in the BBA department are good but not as good as in technical streams. If you are serious about developing your corporate, communication, and presentation skills, there is a good possibility of getting a placement. Some of the few companies that come for placements include ICICI Prudential, HDB Financial Services, and NoPaperForms.
The facilities at IIMT University are satisfactory. My department has clean and tidy classrooms with good lighting, ACs, and seating. Wi-Fi is provided on campus and in hostels, though the speed varies sometimes. I reside in the hostel, and I would rate it as average in terms of cleanliness and facilities. The food mess is good, and although not excellent, it's also better than the food you would find in other hostels.
My experience with the faculty is good so far. Majority of the professors are well qualified and articulate things well. Some of them are actually very good, and they promote practical learning, while others are more theoretical in their methods. On the whole, they are supportive when consulted for advice.
Being a first-year student at an MBA course in IIMT University, I lack individual experience with placements as of now, but based on what I have heard from seniors, the placement situation is ordinary. Some firms such as BYJU'S, HDFC Bank, and Tech Mahindra do come to the campus for recruitment, but the number of recruited students as well as package offered largely depends on individual performance and skillset. The maximum package reaches up to about 10 LPA, and the average package ranges about 3–4 LPA.
There are a range of facilities on the campus such as a library, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a small gym, and other student clubs like coding and cultural clubs. The library is very resourceful and well-maintained. The hostels are decently maintained—clean but not extremely modern. The gym only has basic equipment. Classrooms have projectors, and the computer labs are functional and frequently updated.
The teachers are usually cooperative and dedicated to teaching. The instruction is above average as a whole, but it may differ from instructor to instructor. The majority of professors are highly qualified and make an effort to make things clear. One thing I struggle with personally is the accent difference, since I am from a different regional environment.
The placement report for the MCA program at IIMT University, Meerut has been very encouraging in the previous academic cycle. Approximately 88–93% of the students from our batch received job offers. The highest package that came was up to ₹96 LPA, whereas the lowest was approximately ₹4 LPA. Some of the key recruiters were Wipro, Airtel, L&T Infotech, Mphasis, and Zensar.
Every department within the university has its own exclusive building, and the MCA department also has all the classrooms and labs needed. There is a specific first-year student block that maintains a structured learning setup. Water supply, fans, and cleanliness of the surroundings are properly maintained.
The faculty is well-qualified and approachable. They take pains to explain concepts to students and clarify doubts. The quality of teaching is good and classes are held regularly. Curriculum is AKTU-approved and industry-relevant, though with scope for more practical experience.
Placements in IIMT University are mostly based on personal effort and hard work. The college does offer placement training, such as how to approach interviews and prepare resumes, but ultimately it's the student's talent and consistency that matter. The university hosts companies for campus recruitment, and opportunities are available for those who take initiative.
The University has good environment with all the facilities, canteen is very affordable, student-friendly and pretty hygienic. There are proper laboratories, however some of the computers are always malfunctioning. Hostel is neat and clean.
The Teachers are very knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the course. The course curriculum is as per the latest standards, and the semester examinations are comparatively hard, need to study year round to score good marks.
The placement of college is awesome. Many know and reputed companies come for campus placements. There is a concept of summer internship conducted every even-semester. Companies that come for placements are Oracle, Infosys etc.
All the classrooms are air-conditioned, and there's a proper water supply system on campus. Wi-Fi connections are robust and provided in classrooms, laboratories, and hostels. The library is adequately stocked with study materials and is a quiet area to study.
The professors are supportive, friendly, and highly qualified. They are postgraduate or doctoral degree holders with industry or academic experience. Their method of teaching is interactive and centred on concept explanation. The curriculum is current and industry-compatible, and thus students become job-ready.
Placement opportunities in the MCA program of IIMT University Meerut are really good. Almost 90% of students from our batch got placed till date. The maximum salary package offered was as high as 40 LPA. IBM, Infosys, Oracle, Siemens, and HCL Technologies are some of the prominent recruiters. Approximately 70% of students also received internships in reputed organizations, which aided in acquiring real-world exposure and enhancing our technical skills.
IIMT University has a properly maintained infrastructure, particularly for courses related to computers. The classroom is neat and well-facilitated with good systems and software in computer labs for practice. Wi-Fi within the campus is functional most of the times, but it reduces speed on occasion. The hostel facility is decent with tidy rooms, a gym, an appropriate mess area, and playgrounds.
Lecturers are experienced and ensure that they present concepts well in the classroom. Most teachers are available even beyond the classroom for solving doubts, which is a major advantage. The only disadvantage is that the course syllabus seems somewhat outdated and does not entirely align with existing industry trends. Though it lays a good foundation, students tend to need to perform additional learning on their own to actually be industry-ready.
The placement situation for BCA at IIMT University is fairly good. Although the college does offer placements to most students, it largely depends on personal efforts. Those who are consistently good in studies and have developed good coding or technical skills have a better opportunity to get placed.
