The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) founded the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) in 2015. A private university called IIPH Gandhinagar is located near Ahmedabad, Gujarat. An agreement to create IIPHG was struck between the Public Health Foundation of India and the Gujarati government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi put the first brick in the building in 2008. In 2008, the IIPH Gandhinagar opened its doors after initially operating out of Ahmedabad.
The Indian Institute of Public Health in Gandhinagar offers postgraduate studies in management and business administration, as well as in medicine and allied disciplines.
