B.S. in Electronic Systems at IIT Madras is a four-year undergraduate online degree programme. The IIT Madras BS in Electronic Systems has three levels - Foundation, Diploma and Degree. To earn the BS Degree from IIT Madras, students have to complete all the levels. Each level encompasses courses, credits, and assessments, giving learners the flexibility to exit at any level. They can receive the certificate depending on the courses completed and credits earned. However, only those students are eligible for the online BS in Electronics Systems at IIT Madras who complete the first four semesters.

Eligibility Criteria
To pursue the IIT Madras Online BS Electronic Systems degree, aspiring candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Completion of the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as subjects of study.
- Students appearing for their Class 11 final exams with Physics and Mathematics as subjects of study can also apply for the programme and join the course after clearing Class 12.
Admission Details
Candidates can apply admission to IIT Madras BS Electronic Systems programme by filling in an application form and paying the application fee. They need to apply admission to the Foundation Level through Regular entry and JEE-based entry. For the Regular entry, candidates have to go through the Qualifier Process. Evaluation Process
IIT Madras conducts Invigilated Quizzes and End Semester exams for BS in Electronic Systems. The exams are conducted in different cities spread across India. IIT Madras exams for BS in Electronic Systems are also conducted in centres in different countries such as UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Singapore and Sri Lanka (if there are enough students in these places). Learners based out of other countries can take up remote proctored exams.

There will be pre-recorded video lessons through which students can study. For doubt clearing sessions, there will be live sessions per course where students can interact with the course facilitator.
Students must have a laptop or desktop with good internet connection to access the course materials.
After successfully completing all the levels, students will get the BS Degree in Electronic Systems from IIT Madras. They will also have the option to exit with a Foundation Level Certificate from Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE), IIT Madras, or Diploma in Electronic Systems from IIT Madras.
No, there is no daily attendance, but once students register for the courses, submission of weekly assignment is taken as an attendance indicator. Minimum required scores in weekly assignments of a course will determine if a learner will be allowed to write the end term exam for that course or not.
