M.Sc/M.Sc (Tech) in Physics, Applied Physics, Materials Science/M.Tech (Solid State Technology)/M.Tech (Materials Science) or equivalent with Valid GATE / JEST Score. Students who get CGPA of 8.0 and above in M.Sc degree from IIT Madras are also eligible for admission to Ph.D programme in Physics.

IIT Madras is one of those places you hear about and imagine high-tech labs, brilliant minds, and a campus buzzing with activity. The library is huge and has pretty much every book or journal you could need. Hostels are decent, though some are better maintained than others, and the campus facilities like canteens, sports grounds, and Wi-Fi are reliable and student-friendly.

College Infrastructure
Since this is a distance/off-campus/online course, you won't get access to campus for regular study, but you can visit the campus with your official ID card. If we talk about the curriculum and academics, then you are going to have an IIT-level quality of education.

College Infrastructure
The college infrastructure is quite good, but there is no hostel for the first two stages. There is no hostel accommodation for the online student. But you will enjoy a lot of it by joining the clubs and events.
