36 MonthsM.Tech Power System & Drives program offers a deep insight into power electronics devices and circuits. It covers important topics related to the electronic segment such as analysis and simulation of various power electronics circuits as converters, choppers, cyclo-converters and more. It also provides the students with an in-depth understanding of power quality and problems associated with harmonics. The power electronics devices are making it practically possible to control the speed of most popular drive induction motors such as DC Motors, which is referred to as VFD. VFDs are becoming the most popular drives in the industry and with the growing demand of VFDs, the requirements for specialists in the field is also increasing.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Tech./ B.E. or equivalent examination in Electrical Engg./ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electronics & Instrumentation Engg. with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.
