Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is the first open university in India. It was established by an Act of the Karnataka Legislature on 13th October, 1993. The KSOU offers courses for all categories of people and not just for students but also for working professionals who wish to upgrade their skills or acquire new ones. What are its objectives? The objective of establishing a state-level open university is to provide opportunities to the citizens at large through higher education and training in various fields which shall be free from any form of discrimination on grounds such as caste, creed, religion, gender or social status.

BEd course is a program which helps students to complete their education in a short period of time. It is designed for those who have completed the basic education and want to get into higher level of education. BEd course offers an opportunity to students to acquire knowledge and skills that are required for them in order to become successful professionals.

KSOU, Mysore has a long and rich tradition of Open and Distance Learning (ODL). To be eligible for such course, candidate needs pass bachelors or equivalent under graduate degree. Then, he or she needs to appear in an entrance test for the admission.

The deadline to submit an application for admission to KSOU's July 2022 session may be 30 August 2022. Since the application period for the January session is now closed, students may now apply for admission to the following session before the deadline. Furthermore, PhD admission is also available.

The University from where you have done your B.Com (//B.Com) has been declared invalid, but you have to get proper analysis of the ruling.

Thus, you reach out to some lawyers and discuss about the effect of this ruling, whether it applies retrospectively i.e, the degrees which have been already given will they stand nullified or is it just that after being declared as invalid the University cannot give out degrees.

KSOU that means Karnataka State Open University Mysore was established in the year of 1996 another distance education council. The diploma degrees and pG degrees from this university is valid up to 2011. Because after decision that means 2012 to 13 session University Grant commission has cancelled its recognition due to violation of its norms. After this period who have achieved degrees from this university is not valid for any further education or employment even in the private sector also.

So if you get degree in the 2018-19 session or 2022 - 23 session that will be not valid for any   education or employment in government neither in government nor in private sector jobs.

So, with regard to your query, its not about convocation but you should definitely get graduation certificate that is degree certificate after completion of the Btech course, otherwise no college will recognize you as you have completed the Btech course. So, after getting graduation certificate you can apply for any jobs.

Master of Science in Microbiology is a  two-year duration master degree distance course offered by Karnataka State Open University, Mysore.

The common eligibility of the course is that, either you can have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological or Allied sciences, OR science stream with any biological sciences as one of the subjects at degree level. Or you can also have B.E/ B.Tech degree in Biological Sciences to be eligible for this course.
