• Entrance Exams Accepted: NID DAT scores are accepted for NID Andhra Pradesh admissions to BDes programmes. 
• NID Ahmedabad Counselling: Round 2 Provisional offer letter for NID DAT BDes counselling was released on June 19, 2025 while for MDes courses, round 2 provisional offer letter was released on June 5, 2025. 
• NID Ahmedabad results: NID DAT prelims result for BDes was released on  April 1, 2025 and NID DAT Main results were released on May 16, 2025. For MDes programmes, the NID DAT Mains result was released on May 6, 2025. 
• NID Ahmedabad Seat Matrix: 240 seats are allotted for M.Des courses.

National Institute of Design Ahmedabad admissions are offered to B.Des, M.Des and Ph.D degrees. To get admitted to the B.Des and M.Des programmes at NID Ahmedabad, students must take and pass the NID DAT entrance exam followed by a counselling process.

There are two specialisations available for NID Ahmedabad PhD admissions. The PhD programme at NID Ahmedabad is of 6-years duration. Students are offered NID Ahmedabad admissions in Furniture and Interior Design, Animation, Accessory design, Strategic Design and Brand Leadership and others.

• Applicants must meet the qualifying requirements to be admitted to the PhD programme at NID Ahmedabad.

• The candidate then needs to show up and pass the DRT admission exam.

• Students are shortlisted on a merit basis.

• Additionally, the chosen applicants need to take part in a personal interview after the DRT counselling session.

• Aspirants are allotted seats based on the student's performance in the counselling process.
