Hello,

Here, are some of the points for both the universities which may help you in making a good decision.

A. NIT Srinagar:

1. It has a very good placements history where the figure is 100% in some of the departments and around 90% in others.

2. The weather in NIT Srinagar is just awesome.

3. The faculty and staff is also very good. The faculties are experienced as well.

4. The college also has fests and events.

Some, negative points may be related to the weather, area and climate etc. Which may not suit everyone.

B. NIT Andhra Pradesh:

1. The faculties are trained here as well and all of them have P.hds.

2. The campus is good (but not compared to Srinagar).

3. The College also has team which takes part in several events. Also, they have events in college as well.

4. Placements are also good and are increasing year by year as the university is new as compared to other NITs.

The negative points here are also related to area and the fact that Andhra Pradesh NIT is new considerably. The faculties here may not be that much experienced as compared to other but no doubt the College is becoming better and better day by day.

Overall, you can chose for any of the colleges considering the other factors like location and climate in mind. I would suggest you for NIT Andhra Pradesh as it will be near to your home town and also looking at other related factors. The college is also new as compared to other so it will give you an advantage as well.

Hello! Hope you are doing good

Your rank according to the mentioned percentile is 86,901. Its a bit difficult to get the college with this rank. However, cutoffs are subject to variation so it may vary this year too lets hope for the best.

On top of that, you still have the april chance , give your best and prepare well. You'll definitely do good.

All the best

If you are talking about the closing ranks than it is based on the actual rank of the last candidate which got seat in that college, sometimes it happen that from home state less candidate apply that is the low rank candidate didn;t fill that choice so it may be possible but it doesn't mean that if you fill you will not get that choice.

Hello Aspirant,

It's difficult to tell you the exact about the admission possibilities but as per the previous year cutoff the chances seems less to get a seat in NIT Andhra Pradesh or any other NITs, IIITs & GFTIs as General category. You can try for the stta elevel counselling like Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, MP Etc.

To know your admission possibilities in state level counseling you can use JEE Main college predictor tool given below.

Good Luck!

Yeshwanth, Although, it is difficult to predict the exact ranks currently as the April  Jee Mains session has yet to take place. However, you can predict your expected rank by this formula:-

(100 - your total score) X 869010 /100.

Also, If the number of candidates for April exam get increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

In your case the expected rank comes out to be around 52053 .Note that this is the General or All India rank and not the category rank which is very difficult to predict at this point of time. Also, you havent specified your category and gender status which are very important in determining your chances of admission. So, I am answering your query in a generic way.

Now, at this rank it is very difficult to get admission at any of the good NITs especially the top ones like NIT ANDHRA PRADESH even if you belong to reserved categories. In case you belong to general category, you can get admission to the lower NITs  like the North Eastern NITs, NIT UTTARAKHAND etc.

As regarding your query about Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, also known as IIIT NUZVID,as per my research, the institute offers 6-year integrated B.Tech program in various specializations and the admission to the same is based on merit obtained in your class 10 marks or the SSC marks and the institute does not undertake admissions based on entrance examinations for the B.TECH course.

However, you have a very good percentile and it would surely fetch you the top branches in some CFTIs and also state level institutions. So, it is advised to appear for state- level counselling too.

Also, you can look at previous years cutoff trends in the following link to understand your chances

In addition to it, you have another attempt to go in the April session, so concentrate on it and work hard to improve your scores and chances of getting your desired college

Also, you can use this college predictor to know what colleges you would get based on these January scores

Hey aspirant!

Although, it is difficult to predict the exact ranks currently as the April  Jee Mains session has yet to take place. However, you can predict your expected rank by this formula:-

(100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

In your case the rank comes out to be around 43971.Note that this is the General or All India rank and not the category rank which is very difficult to predict at this point of time. Also, the EWS Category is a relatively new category and so, predicting its cutoff is very tough. However, you can look at previous years cutoff trends in the following link to understand your chances

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-andhra-pradesh

Now at this rank it is very difficult to get CSE at any of the NITs especially the good ones like NIT ANDHRA PRADESH even if you belong to General EWS Category. The CSE for most of the good NITs close around 10000-12000 rank and after that you can get the lower NITs only like the North Eastern NITs. However, you have a very good percentile and it would surely fetch you the top branches in some CFTIs and also state level institutions. So, it is advised to appear for state- level counselling too.

Also, you have another attempt to go in the April session, so concentrate on it and work hard to improve your scores and chances of getting your desired college

Hey there hope you're doing well.
Dear aspirant, according to your percentile score in JEE MAIN examination your expected rank is about 46,752. Your expected category rank is 12k. According to previous year cut off in ECE branch at NIT AP was ALL INDIA M(close-6876)&F(close-9165). For home state this was M(close-6035)&F(close-6955).
Still you need to wait Defoe your exact category rank because it is difficult at this point of time as we do not have data for no. Of OBC students appearing.
Thank you hope this helps you!

Hello.
As you didn't mention your category so I am considering for general category you can calculate your expected rank by using the below formula:
(100-your total percentile score)*869010/100
Here 869010 is the number of candidate appeared for the January session of exam.
Now at 94.5 percentile your approximate rank would be: 47,795.
If we consider previous year record for NIT Andhra Pradesh then generally the cutoff goes under 48 k
(If I consider all branch)
So you have border chances of getting admission in NIT Andhra Pradesh.

Best of luck.

Hello Danis,

Congrats for getting good percentile. The competition for NIT Ap is also more. Many students will be opting for it. Your percentile may not give you a Good branch. You have really less chances of getting into NiT ap even you wait for last round of counselling. So, prepare well for coming exam try to get a percentile above 90 . Since you are SC you will surely get CSE in it.Last years category closing ranks nearly 5000 below for all branches considering. If you want particularly top branch, you ned to get nearly 1000 below. You have another chance for writing well.Prepare well for JEE april.Good luck.

Hello Aspirant,

NIT AP was started in the year 2015.

The placements in NIT, AP are very poor. Only 35 - 40% of total students get placed. The highest package registered till date is 13 lpa. And the average package is around 5.45 lpa.

The companies that visit this college to recruit students are Amazon, accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Just Dail, L & T etc.

Since this college is new the placements percentage might increase in the coming years.

Hope this will help you. Good Luck.
