KCET rank will be calculated by considering the performances in KCET and QE (qualifying examination) as well.I will explain with an example ,let us assume that u have scored 131/180 in KCET and 288/300 in QE,then your % marks in KCET is 72.77% and in QE it is 96% now they will add this two( that is, the formula goes like this
Rank will be given
R={(%KCET+%QE)/200}×100
Then they will sort ,who has got more R(i have taken this ‘R’ for better understanding) value will get good rank.
And the rank to a particular ‘R’ value varies every year

Hello aspirant
Cut off marks are calculated by dividing marks secured in each subject by 4 + 50 . Then total marks are divided by number of subjects.
As you have got 48 marks in biology, 48/4 = 12
Your cut off for Biology will be 12+50=62
Physics 26/4=6.5 + 50 = 56.5
For chemistry 28/4 = 7 +50 = 57
hey,
i hope you are doing well

all the best!
You have scored very well in Pu. And regarding the KCET marks your rank fluctuates between 10,000 to 40,000.
Punjab University Common Entrance Test (
PU CET
) is a state-level entrance exam held by Punjab University for undergraduate admissions. However the cutoff depends on a lot of factors depending upon the programmes applied for and depends on various factors such as difficulty level of examination, previous year cut off trends, number of applicants, etc. You can view previous years' cutoff at this link:

Hai Ajith
Board marks 50% =284/300*50=47.33
Kcet marks 50%=71/180=39.44%/2=19.72%
Total = 67%
You can expect around 18000rank.
But all depends on how your friends perform & on difficulty levels of kcet paper. all the best for tommorow exam.
