For two streams combined merit list preparation (two streams are evaluated separately) of say – (i) Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry combination and (ii) Physics, Chemistry, Biology combination, the below-mentioned formula is used:

Candidates with a higher percentage in the qualifying exam (graduation level degree) get the advantage of a higher rank in the order of merit.
If candidates have scored the same marks at the graduation level as well, then their class 12th marks are evaluated and given a higher rank in the order of merit.
If the tie does not resolve following steps (i) and (ii), then their age is taken into consideration and the older candidate gets a higher rank in the order of merit.
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Panjab University 2025 merit list must physically attend the counselling session on the specified date and location.
On the day of the counselling, candidates must bring all original documents and a photocopy of them, as well as the online admission form.
After arriving at the counselling location, candidates should mark their attendance.
After the counselling session, a final merit list and waiting list will be prepared, taking into account the candidates' written exam scores, performance in GD, PI, and other factors.
