The Department of Paramedical and Health Sciences offers a 3 year Diploma Degree program in Optometry which seeks to develop the foundation of the future opticians who will further actively contribute to the industry. Optometry makes use of medical scientific methods and machinery for the diagnosis and treatment of eyes and involves specialized skill sets in developing lenses and eyewear. The faculty offers a comprehensive curriculum which seeks to develop the practical understanding of the students through various hands-on training programs. For this purpose, the faculty is equipped with state of the art facilities and laboratories which provides students the finest exposure to the various forms of optometry research. The students are guided under the expertise of doctors who have vast experiences in the field, thus going on to provide the students with the effective training in regards to optometry. The Faculty is also equipped with a 750 bedded multi-specialty hospital which endeavours to provide the finest medical care to patients, thus providing for the students a ground for practical training.
Candidate shall have passed 10th Examination from a recognized board.
