Presidency University,  Kolkata conducts an entrance Test for admission in the UG courses of the University.

The exam name is PUBDET ( Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test)

The exam will be conducted on 11th and 12 th April 2020 tentatively, depending on the subject you have choosen. The date of the examination will be mentioned in your admit card as the admit cards of the examination has already released.

Presidency University in Kolkata is a public state university, accredited grade 'A' by the NAAC. The university offers Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Arts and Ph.D programmes.

Presidency University offers Bachelor of Science in Geology programme over a period of three years. Candidates are required to have passed their Class 12 examinations with a minimum of 70%, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Its entrance syllabus consists of topics on Ancient Indian history, medieval Indian history, modern Indian history, post-1947 South Asian history, world history, antiquity to the early modern period, world history, the modern period upto the twentieth century.

The syllabus for english entrance is basic grammar, knowledge of critical analysis, familiarity of the authors and the literary works and the evolution of english literature.

As far as History is concerned, go through the NCERTs. They do not want you ro know exactly everything that's happened in the past but a basic knowledge of the events and the causes of the epic moments.
