Infrastructure is good, classrooms and library is also very nice.Wifi facility is not upto the mark.Hostel facility is good and the mess food is much better than other private colleges food.Sports facility is also not good there is seperate field for cricket and football. The college is maintained well and resembles international standards.
I am currently doing my B.Tech in CSE .The teaching is quite good. Some of the lecturers are world class.Yes the curriculum is updated on a regular basis and includes all the recent ones. The subjects are planned in a such a way that it is project based and helpful in placements. The college gives training in placements from 1st year pnwards.
Almost 100% of students got placed. The highest salary offered this year was about 43 lacs per annum.Top recruiter was microsoft this year. The average salary offered was 6 lpa.The placements process for top companies like google, amazon and microsoft were bit challenging. My college was very well supportive.
my course cost me about 5 lakhs per year including my expenses.I feel the fees is bit high and sometimes it makes me feel that it is not worth.
It is the best place for learning and has a good surrounding. It is a ragging free campus.Milan is the one of the fest which is very good.Worst feature is that the girls dont get much freedom. The staffs are very friendly. It is located in outskirts of chennai and takes nearly more than 30 mins to go to city.It is safe and nowadays became very strict for girls.
Feeling good but at the same time not worth of money
Well the college is quite good but also few more things could have been added for students entertainment purpose, like swimming pool etc. Also some faculties use the technology provided but some doesn't. And about cleanliness, the campus stays clean always
Well i took up CSE but here there are some faculties who are really good with the subject and teaches really well and there are some who doesn't even teach well neither provides notes and above that l, some are very communal between south and north students.
Based on placement, there are pretty decent companies who recruit students every year and yeah quite happy with placements here. They have on avg of 80% placement every year, which is a pretty good count.
Not really, its very expensive based on the academic that we get.
For students who love doing other activities, its a good place for you to join, as 2 mazor fest and 2 minor fest and many other events are always conducted, so its a good place for participating and learning new things
I am very happy with the college except for one thing, i.e, communal difference should not be done.
The facilities available are more than required for the day to day activities. The campus is clean and they pay great attention to the hygiene. The Library is vast and you get most of the books of the curriculum there.
The curriculum could be better, more related to the course and less commonly taken for all. For instance, I'm studying CSE but the subjects I have are not that related to Computer Science. I feel it can be made better.
The placements are good. Even the average packages are nicer than most colleges. Almost 85% of students get placed, remaining either go for higher studies or they try for private jobs. The average salary was 3-4 lacs p.a.
I feel the courses cost the average. As compared to other colleges, it's almost the same but it's just that keeping in mind the placements, the college is worth it.
Worst features in campus is the management. The staff and faculty do listen but they don't act that fast. Activities like numerous clubs, NGOs, etc are available for the students to join.
The college is nice, studies are good, staff and faculty are not all friendly but they are helpful. The management is slow but if you have a problem they will try to solve it.
The following infrastructure facilities are available in SRM IST Campus for sports & 4 volleyball courts with flood light and link mesh fence around the court. The courts are of 2640 square meter in 5 basketball courts with flood light and link mesh fence around the court. The courts are of 5000 square meters in total 2 football fields with link mesh fence around the court. Designed by experts, management program demands commitment and drive. Enhanced curriculum with flexible electives, a dedicated faculty team and restricted entry make this the cream of management qualifications. The curriculum is designed to produce well-rounded managers who have the right skills, positive attitudes and high values. Apart from a number of skill-based courses, the students are required to take courses on ethics, corporate governance and eastern philosophy.
The final placements at SRM Institute of Science and Technology concluded with over 600 companies visiting the campus since the placement season commenced on July 22, 2019. All these companies together rolled over 7,647 offers to the students. The top 4 IT industry giants including TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro offered a phenomenal 4,749 offers against last years count of 3,020 offers. In addition to the final placements, companies like Pay Pal and Veritas made internship linked placement offers
I graduated from prestigious institution the course which I had paid is 1.85. yes it's worth taking admission in SRM University Chennai. The infrastructure is amazing and the faculty is very very supportive you can devolpe your career professionally and personally
The university contains many co cultural activities and national and multicultural fests. The students in the university are very attractive and friendly the campus location is out of City and contains full of gardens as well overall the campus
Lucky to study in this prestigious institution Check out Divi Teja’s profile on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/divi-teja-184346189
The college is equipped with nice classrooms in the University building. The hostels are amazing for girls in MBlock, it's a complete hotel. The campus has a lot of greenary surrounding it and within it. The only thing not good is many classrooms do not have access to AC.
The teachers here are not great with the language. They might we well educated but when time comes to share the knowledge, there is a lack of communication. The syllabus and everything is good. We have a lot of exams with is again an issue becaus ewe don't get break.
As of last few years placements have been good for the students. The good companies like Amazon, Google, etc come and pick the best candidates from the final year with a great package of min 5 lakhs and maximum going upto 35-40 lakhs.
Except for the mess food and teachers, it is worth it. Security, management, campus, everything is great. Only the food is kind of disturbing and we don't have varities in canteen either. ACs are really required in the classroom because Chennai afterall!
Infrastructure of our college is good and adequate. Laboratory equipments are provided but some of the equipments need to be fixed for future use or new equipments should be provided in biotechnology department of Faculties of Science and Humanities.
I am doing Masters Biotechnology ,because it is a technological field where the opportunities for jobs and placements opens in variable direction. The faculty members are good ,supportive and helpful. Teaching is also good , they focus on each and every student in the class without biasness.
Placements in our college ,from our department of biotechnology particularly, is convenient. Every year placements happens in our college in which various companies approaches for the hiring. Approx 20-30% of students are hired for jobs.
Masters in biotechnology course costs 1.10L , including everything. As per the costs i feel it is worth to study in this university . The fees we provide is utilised in getting new laboratory equipments and other cultural things.
College campus is good and beautiful , maintenance and regulations are good . There are various activities and disciplines including music clubs, sports club, Art club, Rotary club, etc. And so on.. Evenyts and festivals are well managed by people in their respective field. Safety and security is very well managed for girls.
My experience till now is adequate and i would recommend to people to study in this college.
Hostels are bad... Very strict rules.. Girls in timing and getting a permission is very difficult. Mess food isn't nice. Some laboratory have acs some don't.. The labs and buildings are a little far away from the girls hostel.
Academics are fine.. Some teachers teach well and some do not.. Some teachers are very strict in checking and will cut marks unnecessarily. Some of the subjects that are taught here are completely unnecessary.
Almost every one will get placed here... The only difference is the salary so it's okay. High end packages are less though. If you study well and work hard, you will get opportunity to get placed in good company.
No.. Private college means high fees.. Academics as well as hostel.. So it isn't value for money because the fee is high . Hostel fees for ac hostel is also high but it ain't worth it.. Too many restrictions .
Campus does not have much to do with. The girls in timing is early so you really can't engage in much of the activities . You only get 2-1 and a half hours to engage in activities here if you are a girl.
It's an okay college with high fee and stupid girls hostel rules but you can come and work hard here as this college will give you opportunities. This college will get u somewhere that is for sure but it depends on your hard work.
It is green with a great infrastructure except some rooms are not provided with AC. The canteen and the buildings are well accomodated and it is interactive and interesting. Staying in such an infrastructure is a blessing. The greenary in the campus is something really appreciated. Others everything is well equipped and wonderful around. The interaction between nature and everything makes it worth it to stay in d campus.. the hostels are properly maintained every day and the management is amazin
There's a language problem in the academics region. Most teachers are having the tamil accent and they cant interact in the best way with us. Others according to the quality of academics, its good in SRM.
From the past years the placements are worth it. The students are being well placed in good companies and thats the value for money for both students and their parents. Its a good thing about srm, the placements.
Campus is very big. It has all the necessary facilities like library, sports club, book store. Also classroom are good. Computer labs have good and working computers. Hostels are well maintained. Food is hygenic.
I am studying Electronics and Communication. It is the emerging field nowadays. More job opportunities are create for ECE students Also, our curriculum is well updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field.
Quality of placements are good. Many students are recruited through campus. Also, college placement team will trained students so that they are recruited in good companies. Placement process is also quite easy.
College fee is costly. Money is not worth as teachers are good.
Campus is best. Students engage in may events such as cultural events, sports events.
College infrastructure is good. And college life is enjoyable.
Yes the college is spread over 250 acres with quite good infrastructure and greenery inside the campus, the campus feels spacious to roam around. It has good classrooms and all the required labs for various departments. Laboratories are highly equipped with upgraded stuff. Like computers and other machinery. There is an open ground with race track, badminton and table tennis court. It has basketball and lawn tennis courts also. Yes it it clean and hygienic and well maintained.
I am studying BTech in Computer Science and Engineering as I had interest in computer programming from my school days, the quality of teaching is okayish with proper lab classes and exams. Yes the curriculum is updated regularly with different regulations coming up, like I am studying in 2015 regulation and now 2018 regulations have come. So they keep on changing the courses as per the requirements and demands of the industry. To be job ready you have to work a bit extra hard.
The college placement has a good record with lots of product based and service based companies visiting the campus each year and hiring in good numbers. The highest package offered was 30lakhs and it went to the School of Computing which includes CSE, IT and Software branches. Average salary offered is not really high but still if you work hard you end up with a good package. Yes college is supportive and helps with placement training to the students before the placement season starts.
The course fees was high which is 2.5 lakh per year, which is high for an engineering college, fee can be reduced a bit to ease it for students and parents. Teaching and placements can be improved much more to justify the fees.
Its a lush green campus with, different types of building, it has an hospital inside the campus and it provides free consultation to college students. Students can engage in various clubs like technical and non technical. College fests and MUNs are really great in the campus. The security can be improved more. The students are from various parts of the country so it's nice to know different people, teachers are okay and support staff does it job well. It's in bit outskirts but well connected.
Overall it's a good college if you wish to join, you have to find your own opportunities to grow with help from peers and college. It has all the basic services required. Hostel life is amazing. Campus is really big and lot's of food joints are there in the campus. If you work hard placements won't be an issue.

HELLO,
For SRM University Chennai , the B.Tech CSE with AI & ML specialization fee is Rs3,00,000 per annum.
Other Expenses - you may also have additional costs for registration, examinations and hostel fees
Admissions with your Rank:-
Your rank of 2700 is excellent and indicates a strong chance of securing a seat in your preferred program.
The 2024 cutoff for CSE was between 9,500 to 10,500 meaning your rank is significantly better than the previous year's cutoff
Hope this Helps!
Hello!
SRM University’s main campus at Kattankulathur has very high demand for CSE, AI-ML, and ECE — cut-offs for these branches are usually below 10,000. With your rank of 18,006, chances are low for these top streams at the main campus.
However, you can expect:
If your priority is branch, you can go to another campus and get CSE/ECE. If your priority is campus reputation, you may need to select a less competitive branch at the main campus.
Thank you, and best of luck!
