24 MonthsThe M. Phil Degree Programme is specifically designed for asphiring legal academics i.e., students who wish to pursue sustained independent study and research and are planning careers in law teaching. The candidate will be eligible for receipt of the degree only if he/she completes the prescribed requirements of the course within a maximum period of three years.
Any candidate who satisfies the following conditions is eligible to seek registration for M.Phil. in the University upon application for provisional registration after going through these Regulations and Guidelines for M.Phil. which shall be supplied along with the application:
The candidate shall have a Masters Degree of any recognized University, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). However, this condition is related to 50% in case of candidates belonging to SC and ST.
Admission to M.Phil. shall be through an Entrance Test and Interview. Applications for Entrance Test shall be invited once a year in the month of July, depending on the vacancies existing in each specialized area.
