Hello, With a rank of 16141 in the Tamil Nadu Law Admission process, getting a seat in top government law colleges might be difficult, since their cutoffs usually close at much lower ranks. Government law colleges in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore generally fill up quickly with candidates below 8000–10000 ranks. However, this does not mean you are out of options. You still have a fair chance of securing a seat in self-financing law colleges or private institutions that are affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. Many of these colleges admit students with higher ranks during later rounds of counseling, especially if seats remain vacant. You should carefully track each counseling round, as rank cutoffs fluctuate depending on the number of applicants, reservation category, and seat availability. If your goal is simply to secure admission to pursue law, private colleges remain a strong option. Also, consider keeping backup choices ready in case government college admission does not work out.

Yes, the NEET UG cutoff for Kashmiri Migrants is different based on category.
If you are a Kashmiri Migrant from General Category, the expected cutoff is between 330 to 380 marks. But to be on the safer side and have more chances of getting a seat, it is better if you score 430 or more. This will help in getting a seat in private or deemed universities in states like Karnataka.
If you are a Kashmiri Migrant from reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, or EWS, then the basic qualifying mark is around 113 marks. This is based on the 40th percentile. But just qualifying does not guarantee admission. You might still need more marks to actually get a seat depending on college and seat availability.
So, the cutoff depends on your exact category.
