AUAMC Aligarh Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

AUAMC Aligarh, or Aligarh Unani PG and Ayurvedic Medical College, is a private institution that imparts undergraduate and postgraduate study in Unani and Ayurvedic medicine. The college is affiliated to Dr BR Ambedkar University, Agra. It follows an exhaustive and meticulous admission procedure intended to foster the selection of effectively deserving candidates for the different types of medical programs.

Tests conducted by the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) forms the basis for admission into AUAMC Aligarh. The entrance test is conducted on the national level and is required of all aspiring medical student candidates for admission into undergraduate or postgraduate medical courses within India. The admission cycle, therefore, follows the schedule of the NEET with the exam held in May and results announced in June.

Candidates seeking admission into the undergraduate programs like BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) need to have completed the 10+2 level of education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their core subjects. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission generally require an aggregate of 50% in PCB subjects for general category students, with relaxations in percentage as applicable to reserved categories as per the government norms.

Application Process

The application process of AUAMC Aligarh mainly consists of the following steps:

1. NEET Registration and Examination: The first step is to register and appear for the NEET examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. Result of NEET: Wait for the announcement of the NEET results. Only those candidates who are NEET qualified can apply for Admission in AUAMC Aligarh.

3. State Counselling Registration: As AUAMC is situated in Uttar Pradesh, candidates are required to register for the UP NEET counselling to be conducted by the state authority.

4. Verification of Documents: The documents of the shortlisted candidates are to be verified. Generally, the documents required for verification are:

• NEET Scorecard.
• Mark sheets and certificates for 10th and 12th.
• Domicile certificate (if applicable).   
• Category certificate (for reserved categories).
• Recent passport-sized photographs.

5. Allotment of Seats: On the basis of NEET scores, choices filled, and available seats, candidates are allotted seats in various rounds of counseling.

6. Payment of Fees: After allotment of seats, candidates are required to pay the fees for confirmation of admission.

7. Reporting to the College: Candidates need to report to AUAMC Aligarh for completing the admission formalities after payment of fees, including final verification and medical check-up.

Degree wise Admission Process

BUMS(Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)- The intake for the BUMS program at AUAMC Aligarh is 60 seats. Admission is based on merit in NEET scores and the subsequent counseling process. Candidate must have completed Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 10+2 qualifying exam and must have also qualified the NEET exam to be eligible.

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): The number of seats for admissions into the BAMS program is 50. The admission process is similar to that of the BUMS program: based on NEET scores and a counseling process. Eligibility should be passed 10+2 with PCB subjects and qualifying NEET.

MD Moalajat: The postgraduate degree has four seats. The admission process is based on NEET-PG scores. For a candidate to be eligible, he/she must have a BUMS degree from a recognized university.

MD Kulliyat: This is another postgraduate program that also has four seats. The admission criteria for this program will remain similar to that of MD Moalajat, with a BUMS being the preferred qualification and NEET-PG having to be cleared.
