Have a question related to Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore ?

I scored 88.6772 percentile in aeee phase 1,as a home state student, will I get aerospace engineering seat in amrita vishwa vidyapeetham, if so, which slab will I get?

With an 88.6772 percentile in AEEE Phase 1 and being a home state candidate from Tamil Nadu, your chances of securing a seat in Aerospace Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus , are limited. Historically, the cutoff for Aerospace Engineering has been significantly higher. For instance, in 2021, the closing rank was around 29,324 , corresponding to a percentile of approximately 98.06%. (https://www.sarvgyan.com/articles/aeee-cut-off?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

Given this, it's unlikely that you would fall within the required percentile range for Aerospace Engineering. However, you might consider other engineering branches that have lower cutoffs, such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering , where the home state cutoff has ranged between 50–65 percentile in previous years

CSE or ISE branch at MSRIT Bangalore or CSE branch at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore - which one is a better choice for good package placements 4 yrs after BE/BTech?

When considering CSE or ISE at MSRIT Bangalore and CSE at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore for placements.

Here's a breakdown to help you decide:

MSRIT (Ramaiah Institute of Technology), Bangalore:

    • Strengths:
      • Strong reputation, particularly in Karnataka and the surrounding regions.
      • Well-established placement record, with a good network of recruiters.
      • CSE and ISE branches both have strong placement statistics.
      • Location in Bangalore, a major IT hub, provides excellent industry exposure.
      • Strong alumni network.
    • Considerations:
      • Competition can be intense.

    Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore:

    • Strengths:
      • Growing reputation and strong focus on research.
      • Good placement record, with increasing numbers of top recruiters.
      • Modern infrastructure and facilities.
      • Good focus on over all student development.
    • Considerations:
      • Slightly higher fees compared to MSRIT.

    CSE vs. ISE at MSRIT:

    • In terms of placements, both CSE and ISE at MSRIT are highly regarded.
    • CSE is generally considered the core computer science branch, while ISE (Information Science and Engineering) has a slightly broader focus.
    • In most cases, the placement opportunities for both branches are quite similar, with many companies recruiting from both.

    Which is better for Placements?

    • Both MSRIT and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham have good placement records.
    • MSRIT's location in Bangalore gives it a slight edge in terms of industry exposure and potential networking opportunities.
    • However, Amrita vishwa vidyapeetham is also very strong in placements, and has a very good reputation.
    • The difference in placements between CSE and ISE at MSRIT is minimal.
    • Therefore, if you are happy to be in the city of Bangalore, MSRIT is a very strong option. If you are looking for a very strong educational institute, with excellent placements, and are happy to be in Coimbatore, then Amrita vishwa vidyapeetham is a very strong option.

    Recommendation:

    • If placement is your primary concern, both institutions offer excellent opportunities.
    • It is very important to consider the location that you would prefer.
    • Also consider campus culture, and personal preference.

    Hope This Helps !
