Relatively new, Ankerite College of Pharmacy, Lucknow, will soon become a part of Uttar Pradesh's pharmaceutical education scenario. It is an academic establishment that is affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, has been recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, and offers two full-time pharmacy-related programmes along with a simple admission procedure for all aspirants of pharmacy education at Ankerite College of Pharmacy.

The usual eligibility criteria for seeking admission into the above programmes at Ankerite College of Pharmacy include the completion of the 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology as core subjects.

Such a programme would be the foundation level toward imparting knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences in order to employ individuals in entry-level positions in the pharmacy industry.
It is an undergraduate course conducted over 4 years on a full-time basis, also subject to a ceiling of 60 students. For a seat in this programme, a candidate is expected to attain a higher standard in the 10+2 examination or to perform well in a pharmacy-specific entrance examination. B.Pharma, on the other hand, provides a broader focus on the pharmaceutical sciences, thereby training students to have advanced knowledge and skills in various positions within the pharmaceutical sector.
Both these programmes aim at giving students knowledge of theory and practical exposure in pharmaceutical sciences through which they can gain access to multiple careers in the pharmacy sector once they graduate.
