Appasaheb Birnale College of Education, Sangli is a co-educational institution committed to training future educators. The selection process follows guidelines laid down by the State Government of Maharashtra and Pravesh Niyantran Samiti, Mumbai. Candidates who have graduated from their undergraduate degree course are eligible to apply for the B.Ed course.

M.Ed: The Master of Education program also has a sanctioned intake of 55 students. Like the B.Ed program, M.Ed admissions are done on a merit basis that is inclusive of marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance test. The admission process complies with the policies as laid down by the State Government of Maharashtra and Pravesh Niyantran Samiti, Mumbai. Candidates who have completed their B.Ed or equivalent are eligible for admission to the M.Ed program.
