Neelam, if you look at the notification released on the official website, https://www.afmc.nic.in/admissions/adm2020.pdf no where does it mention that registrations are in August even tentatively. So at this point in time, there is no registration for AFMC. The tradition is that once NEET results have been declared and the DGHSS has released the merit list, AFMC will release the online registration forms for AFMC MBBS 2020 along with the cut offs. It was 596 for boys and 610 for girls in 2019. Eligible Candidates have to register online and attend the TOELR, PAT and Final round of Interviews. The final shortlisting will be based on the scores of these tests. The shortlisted Candidates have to undergo a medical fitness test and based on the results, the final list will be prepared. So this process happens after NEET exam has been conducted and the results have been announced. The official notification also confirms the same. So at this point in time, please continue to prepare for NEET and aim for more than 625 because cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you just have 40 more days to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity.
Dear candidate
The minimum percentage of qualifying marks for NEET is 50 percentage of marks for general category and 40 percentage of marks for other sc st and obc categories so, you to get atleast 50 percent of marks in NEET exams inorder to join in any medical college if you belong to general category. Dear Aspirant,
Admissions in AFMC are indeed through NEET exam, but that does not mean that you will get an admission just by clearing the cutoff. Every college has different cutoffs and in the counseling process if you got a score past that cutoff then you can get admission in AFMC.
Candidates have to register themselves at the AFMC admission procedure to avail admissions.
Cut off: ~590 marks out of 720 for boys, 610 for girls
There are also some psychometric assessments and interview. Medical fitness test will be there too.
