    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of this college is very good, and they teach on projects. Their Wi-Fi is also good, with an average speed above 70 MB/s. They have a very disciplined library, as you can study from 8 to 10 PM to build your future. Mess food has many varieties and is very hygienic. In sports, it is very good, and some of the students also reached the national level.

    Academics

The teachers at the Army Institute of Technology are very good, as they are very supportive of students, and they also help you with your internships and placements; they are like your backbone. Only the first-year teachers receive less support, which is the only thing I don't like about this college.

    Placements

Army institute of technology is very good college in Pune for defence wards in the lower percentile as well. Their placement is always above 90%. All branches get good placement, and the highest placement of 21–22 was 1.2 CPA, and 22–23 was 52 LPA. They have many clubs in which you can build your skills, like robotics club, EV club, SAE club, etc.

    College Infrastructure

College provides hostel facilities for all FY students. The number of seats for SY, TY, and FY is very limited and is given according to merit. The quality of food is quite good and both veg and non-veg are available. AIT also provides sports facilities like football, tennis, cricket, basketball, squash, badminton, and many more

    Academics

The curriculum is outdated, and don't expect much from the teachers. The semesters are easy to get through. You can study 1-2 days before the exam and score very good marks. The curriculum is of no use at the industry level. We have to study on our own and develop our skills, just like at other top universitie

    Placements

The placement of this college is above average. The highest package was almost 51 LPA and the lowest will be around 4 LPA. The average LPA will be about 12 LPA. Over 85% of students are placed in the IT sector. This college has a good coding culture, so people get good packages, which include big companies like Google and Amazon.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is not so good. It is very small, even smaller than some of the schools. The library has a variety of books and has a reading hall capacity of 150 students. The labs are equipped with the necessary instruments for the experiments. The hostel facility is average, and students are provided with a mattress, bedside table, shoe track, and almirah

    Academics

Teachers are very helpful in college; they try their level best to answer the doubts of the students. Most of the faculty are either postgraduate or Ph.D. degree holders. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant and is revised every 4 years. Semester examinations at the college are moderate, and the pass percentage of exams is 40%.

    Placements

About 90% of students are placed in the college placement in 2023–24. The highest package is 52 LPA and average package is 12 LPA top recruiters at the college were Amazon, Microsoft, and Google top roles offered were of software-developed, web-developed, and machine-learning

Hostel are good, Teachers have good experience and knowledge, The quality of education is good, Wi-Fi is over priced and slow, Washrooms in some hostels are small, The campus is clean but small to explore, Coding environment is good, Senior-junior interaction is also decent.

    Academics

Exams are quite easy. There is not much burden of assignments and exams on students. Scoring marks is quite easy and very achievable. More than 20 out 60 students in the class get 8.5 + CGPA in IT and computer Science branch easily, so the competition is really impressive for all if they try to be in top 3 or 5.

    Placements

I am a 2nd year IT student in AIT. Placements till 2 years back were insanely high but since the last year the placements have dropped significantly. Exam syllabus and difficulty level is quite low and one can easily score good marks without much challenges.

    Academics

There is 1 counselor provided on every 20 student for sharing there personal problem and mental health. All faculty members are also good in teaching and are polite. Especially Ketan sir, he is too sweet and polite towards every student. Exams are conducted according to the new SPPU 2024 pattern with two internal exam of 30 marks and 1 end sem of 70 marks. Updated Curriculum and supportive faculty

    College Infrastructure

AIT, although compact at around 30 acres, offers commendable facilities such as a well-stocked library, club rooms, subject, and specific labs. Additionally, amenities like hostel accommodation, mess, canteen, and sports grounds are all available facilities.

    Academics

The faculty members are highly supportive and well-qualified, with many holding Ph.D. degrees. While the course curriculum is relevant, it may require educational self-study efforts. College exams are manageable, and with weeks of preparation, students can perform well.

    Placements

The placement scenario of AIT appears robust, especially for courses in the information technology department, with an average placement of approximately 15 LPA. The college's overall average placement hovers between 10 to 12 LPA, with about 80% of students securing placements.

Have a question related to AIT Pune ?

I am a sc category student with rank 169000 in jee mains.. and I am a ward of army personal.. can I get cse in ait pune?

With a SC category rank of 169,000 in JEE Main and being a ward of an Army personnel , your chances for admission depend on a few important factors :

    Understanding the Rank

    • Your CRL (Common Rank List) rank is quite high (169,000), which generally makes it difficult to get into NITs or IIITs in general categories.

    • However, the SC category rank is what matters for reservation, and usually, category ranks up to 50,000 (SC) can have chances in lower-ranked NITs or IIITs , depending on branch flexibility.

    Ward of Army Personnel Quota

You may be eligible for Defence Quotas , such as:

    1. AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS):

Some states implement TFWS for wards of defence personnel, offering tuition fee relief .

    2. Defence Quota in Colleges:

Some colleges reserve seats under Defence/Armed Forces quota , especially in:

    • Engineering colleges under state governments

    • Colleges affiliated with the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) like:

      • Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune (Only for children of Army personnel)

      • Army College of Engineering

      • Other Army-affiliated institutions

Mera ladka Commerce se 12th pass kiya , kya uska ait me admission ho sakta hai pl bataye.

If your son has passed 12th with Commerce, then he is not eligible for admission to AIT (Army Institute of Technology), Pune, because:

    AIT Eligibility Criteria:

    1. The candidate’s father or mother must be serving or retired from the Indian Army.

    2. The candidate must have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

    3. The candidate must appear for the JEE Main exam.

    4. Admission is based on the JEE Main score.

Since your son studied Commerce and not PCM, he is not eligible for admission to AIT

With a General EWS rank of 58,000, securing a seat at AIT Pune is unlikely. While being a ward of army personnel is a factor, AIT Pune prioritizes All India Rank (AIR) from JEE Main and closing ranks for EWS categories are generally lower than for General category.

AIT Pune prioritizes JEE Main Rank:

Admissions to AIT Pune are primarily based on the All India Rank (AIR) obtained in JEE Main.

    EWS Category:

EWS ranks are separate from the overall AIR and are determined by the number of EWS candidates performing better than you in the exam.

    Closing Ranks:

The closing ranks for EWS category at AIT Pune for BE programs are generally lower than the general category, indicating a lower rank threshold for admission.

    Weightage for Army Personnel:

While AIT Pune offers a weightage to the wards of serving/retired army personnel, this is not a guaranteed admission, and the overall rank still matters.

    58,000 Rank:

A rank of 58,000 in the general category would likely not be sufficient to secure a seat at AIT Pune, even with the weightage.

In conclusion: While your father's service in the army is a positive factor, with your given rank, securing a seat at AIT Pune is improbable.
