Banaras Institute of Pharmacy, Varanasi (BIP) is a very reputed pharmacy education institute in the northern state of India-Uttar Pradesh. The institute is recognized for imparting quality education in pharmacy and is affiliated to the Pharmacy Council of India-PCI and the All India Council for Technical Education-AICTE. BIP offers a Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma) programme aimed at providing students with a comprehensive knowledge and skill set in pharmaceutical sciences. The admission process is rather smooth and simple at the Banaras Institute of Pharmacy.
The institute's objective is to select the deserving candidates who have the requisite foundation in science and to be passionate about pursuing a career in pharmacy. The admission cycle usually follows the academic year, with applications usually being welcomed in the months preceding the new session. For the DPharma programme, the basic eligibility criterion is completion of the SSC (10th standard) examination with a minimum of 35% marks. Application Process

2. Application Form: Interested candidates can procure the application form by downloading it from the institute's website or by visiting the campus.
3. Form Filling: The candidate is required to complete all relevant details in the application form. It is imperative that accurate information is entered, and such information tallies across the board with supporting documents.
4. Document Submission: Along with the filled application form, the candidates are asked to submit:
- SSC (10th standard) mark sheet and passing certificate
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Other certificates or documents, if any, as required by the institute

Degree wise Admission Process
D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy): The D.Pharma course at Banaras Institute of Pharmacy, Varanasi, is a two-year programme, namely, the B.D.Pharma offered at the institute is reputed for producing competent middle-level staff in pharmaceutical sciences. The Institute admits 60 students each academic year to D.Pharma. The admission process for D.Pharma is based on the following criteria:
- Eligibility: Candidate is required to have passed the SSC (10th standard) examination with a minimum of 35% marks
- Duration: Duration for the complete course is set at two years, with full-time attendance.
- Seats: 60 seats are available for the D.Create program.
- Selection procedure: Admission will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the SSC examination, provided that seats are still available.
The BIP D.Pharm program is meant to give students theoretical and practical learning in pharmacy concerning various areas and hence provides opportunities for working in the pharmaceutical industry, community pharmacies, or healthcare establishments.

Pharm and D.Pharm, which are UG and PG pharmacy programmes. It is associated with Lucknow's Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, which is governed by the Lucknow Board of Technical Education and is accredited by the AICTE and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
