Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time course offered by Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject and He/She has obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.

Admission Details

Admissions to all B.Tech programs are made through Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) conducted by JCECE Board constituted by Govt of Jharkhand. Lateral entry to diploma holders in engineering and technology is made in the 3rd semester through competitive examination conducted separately for them. The number of seats through lateral entry in all branches are 10% of the normal seats.

College Infrastructure

BIT Sindri has a sprawling campus spread over 400 acres in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, with well-structured academic buildings, laboratories, and workshops. The institute houses modern classrooms, a central library, computer centers, and research facilities. It provides separate hostels for boys and girls, sports grounds, and recreational amenities. The campus also has healthcare, banking, and postal services. Its green environment, along with robust technical infrastructure, creates a conducive atmosphere for learning and innovation.

It is a worth college but you have to score descent in JEE.

College Infrastructure

our college has of the best infrastructure in terms of state government colleges all across India, although it is 75 years old but renovation is being done in our college time to time and we assume that by end 2027 our college infrastructure will be equivalent or greater than NITs.

Really enjoying this wonderful college ???? ????....

Infrastructure of bit sindri is really outstanding because it is evergreen ???? and looks like as we are living with nature .. And also have well eqiped and clan bathroom as well ad hostels.... and also amazing....everything
