Christian College of Nursing, Kanyakumari, has become one of the prestigious institutions in nursing education in Tamil Nadu, India. Located in Neyyoor, the college is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) for different nursing courses, from undergraduate to postgraduate. Christian College of Nursing's admission procedure has always been designed to admit credible and competent candidates for the nursing courses it offers. This college has a comprehensive admission process primarily meant for the admission of competent candidates into their nursing courses.  Admission criteria differ according to programs. For programs in the undergraduate category, the applicants' should have completed 10+2 from a recognized board in subjects applicable for admission into the course. Admission Process

Application to Christian College of Nursing, Kanyakumari consists of the following processes:

1. Application form collection: Interested candidates can either collect an application form from the admissions office of the college or download the same from the official website.

2. Fill in the application form: The form is to be completed by putting all the personal and academic details accurately. The candidate must ensure that all columns are filled and true to the best of her/his knowledge.

3. Gather required documents: Prepare all necessary documents as maybe required which includes:

• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and previous degree if applicable)

Admissions Process by Degree

B.Sc Nursing: The hallmark program in CMC is the B.Sc Nursing; four years, for an intake of 100 students. Admission through this program is strictly on merit basis depending on the candidates' performance in 10+2 science subjects. Selected candidates deemed eligible will also sit for either entrance or interview as per the selection process charted by the institution.

M.Sc Nursing: The college runs five specialization programs for two years M.Sc Nursing with an intake of 4 students per specialization. These specializations are:

1. M.Sc in Medical Surgical Nursing
2. M.Sc in Paediatric Nursing
3. M.Sc in Community Health Nursing
4. M.Sc in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing
5. M.Sc in Psychiatric Nursing

Generally, students who apply for these postgraduate programs must possess a qualification in B.Sc Nursing from a recognized university. Entrance tests and/or interviews for the selection process may also be required. The college is considering academic performance, work experience, if any, and other salient aspects in admission.
