The College of Applied Science, Calicut (referred to as CAS Calicut) is one of the most popular colleges. It offers diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programs for its students. Based in Kozhikode, Kerala, the college has maintained quality education along with courses in applied sciences with Computer Science, Electronics, Commerce, and English being the main focus areas. The college has a clear-cut admission process meant to filter the deserving candidates for all its programs. Eligibility varies based on the program. The basic prerequisite for undergraduate courses is having completed class 12 from an approved board. For postgraduate degrees, any graduate degree that is relevant to the specific student is acceptable. Admission Process

Application Submission Procedure at CAS Calicut:

1. Visit the college official site or that of the university under which it is affiliated for any announcements concerning the application.

2. Download, fill out the application form for the course of interest, ensuring all details are appropriately filled.

3. Assemble all required documents; usually they are:

• Recent passport-size photographs.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Programs: B.Sc Electronics, B.Sc Computer Science, and B.Sc Mathematics are the three B.Sc programs offered at CAS Calicut. The B.Sc programs in Electronics and Computer Science each offer an admission quota of 36 students. B.Sc Mathematics offers a quota of 24 students. Eligibility generally entails a 10+2 with sciences, particularly Mathematics and Physics for Electronics and Computer Science.

B.Com Computer Application: This program has an intake of 60 students. The required qualification for applicants is 10+2 with Commerce or related subjects. It covers both commerce education and computer application, which gives students the expertise to be part of modern business.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): This program has an intake of 36 students. It is meant for students interested in the field of computer science and its application. Usually, eligibility requires 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): This program allows for 30 students. The BBA is an advanced management education program and is being pursued by general students of any stream in 10+2.

BA English: This program allows for 24 students. It is appropriate for students with an innate passion for English literature and language. Generally, admission is based on 10+2, assigning priority to students scoring good marks in English.

M.Sc Programs CAS Calicut has provisions for offering an M.Sc. in Electronics and an M.sc. in Computer Science, each with an intake limit of 22. A significant part of a relevant bachelor's degree irrespective of it having been attained via the same stream or a related field is desirable.

M.Com Finance and Management: This postgraduate program has 20 admissions. Candidates with B.Com or equivalence are eligible to apply.
