72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Animal Genetics and Breeding shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, Offered by the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate should be passed M.V.Sc. in Genetics & Animal Breeding/Animal Genetics & Breeding or M.V.Sc. in LPM/ Poultry Science /Molecular Biology & Biotechnology with thesis research in the area of Animal Breeding/ M.V.Sc. Genetics. M.Sc. Ag. (Animal Breeding) or M.Sc. Ag. Dairy/ Poultry / Animal Husbandry with specialization in Animal Breeding or M.Sc. in Animal Breeding.
Admission Details
Admission in the Ph.D. Degree Programme shall be made strictly on merit as determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Competitive Entrance Examination conducted by G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.
