Himalayiya Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital (HAMCH), Dehradun, provides an exhaustive admission process for different Ayurvedic courses. The institute, which is affiliated to Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun, is renowned for ayurvedic medicine and allied science courses. HAMCH adopts a merit-based admission process, depending mainly on national-level entry exams for different courses.

The application procedure for HAMCH is different for different programs:

For MD Programs:

1. Attend and pass AIAPGET, conducted by the Ministry of Ayush.

2. Apply through the centralized counseling process for PG Ayurvedic courses.

3. Provide AIAPGET score card, BAMS degree certificate, internship completion certificate, and other specified documents.

For MA Yoga and PGD Programs:

1. Direct application to the institute within the notified admission schedule.

2. Production of academic transcripts, graduation certificates, and other documents as needed.

3. Merit-based selection by the institute according to criteria.

For D.Pharma Ayurved Bhaishjya Kalpak and GNM Nursing Ayurved Paricharika:

1. Apply in June-July admission schedule.

2. Production of 10+2 marksheets with PCB marks and other documents as needed.

3. Merit-based counseling process.

Degree wise Admission Procedure

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): Admission to the BAMS course at HAMCH is through NEET scores. The institute has an approved strength of 60 seats for this course. Candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to be eligible for NEET and thus for BAMS admission.

MD Programs: HAMCH provides various MD programs in Ayurvedic specializations. Admission to all MD programs is through AIAPGET.

The following MD programs are provided by the institute with an approved intake of 6 seats each:

• MD Rachna Sharir
• MD Kriya Sharir
• MD Dravyaguna
• MD Panchkarma

MA Yoga: Direct admission based on merit in the qualifying exam is given for the MA Yoga course. It's chosen by marks scored in the entrance test.

PGD Programs: Astrology and Yoga Postgraduate Diploma courses are conducted by HAMCH. Admissions for these courses aren't specifically mentioned but could be by merit in the qualifying test.

D.Pharma Ayurved Bhaishjya Kalpak: Admission is by counseling on merit. Merit is based on marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at 10+2 level. Admission procedure usually occurs in June-July every year.

GNM Nursing Ayurved Paricharika: Admission for this program is also through merit-based counseling. Merit is determined on the basis of marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the 10+2 level. Admissions are generally made in June-July every year.
