Debnarayan Shiksha Sansthan B.Ed. College, Sonarpur, is a co-educational teacher education college at Sonarpur, West Bengal, India. The college offers two main programs: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). Admission at Debnarayan Shiksha Sansthan B.Ed. Degree wise Admission Procedure

Admission for the B.Ed. course is granted on merit obtained based on marks secured in the entrance exam. The college follows the holistic marking system as elaborated above for making the merit list. This is a two-year course designed for profession orientation of students for the job of a teacher and a school administrator.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
Intake of 50 seats for D.El.Ed. course is sanctioned. Admission procedure in D.El.Ed. is merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination. State Government or UT Administration can also conduct an entrance test or follow other selection processes as per their policy. This two-year diploma course is to make students eligible for teaching elementary education.

Both are two-year full-time courses. Both are meant to provide intensive training in teaching, educational psychology, and in actual teaching.

Academics

Academics are good. Teachers are very active in imparting their knowledge to students. However common language should be used (English) to teach so that students from various regions can come and not suffer language barrier in class.
