72 MonthsPh.D. program in Commerce shall be for a minimum duration of three years Course offered by the University of Delhi, Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in M.Com./M.Phil./MBA/ MIB/MHROD/MFC from a recognized University with 5% relaxation for OBC/SC/ST and Persons with Disability.
- Foreign nationals must provide evidence of competence in the English language and should have studied Mathematics/Statistics in their post-graduate degree. Foreign students shall apply through FSR (Foreign Students’ Registry).
Admission Details
There are two modes of admission in the Ph. D. program
(2.1) Written Entrance test
(2.2) Direct Interview
- The Written entrance test would be compulsory for students who are otherwise eligible for admission to the Ph. D. Programme. The entrance test will be conducted once a year and the eligibility of shortlisted candidates shall remain valid till the next entrance test is held or one year, whichever is earlier.
- The Entrance Test will be a qualifying examination with qualifying marks of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC(NC)/PWD). There shall be a combined entrance test for M.Phil. and Ph. D. The syllabus for the entrance test will consist of 50% questions on research aptitude/methodology and 50% subject-specific questions from the following areas
