    ADGITM Review

    College Infrastructure

The college is well build and infrastructure is attractive as compare to other IP university's colleges, it also has a well kept ground majorly used for sports which keeps the students involves both in activities and academic wise.

    Academics

The learning experience is over all okay. Curriculum is kept up to date and teaching works according to the schedule and curriculum but obviously what we study does not exactly makes us job ready. They should focus more on practicals

    Placements

Placements offered and the process can be quite tacky, it's not easy to enroll yourself for placements. College is supportive but will take their time to show support and interest. Although the quality of placements in our college is average, and plenty of students do get placed in the end.

    Value for Money

It does not like worth the money but there is also not like loss of money

    Campus Life

Campus life is just usual, nothing extraordinary and nothing boring or irrelevant

    ADGITM (NIEC) College life

    College Infrastructure

Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology and Management formerly known as Northern India Engineering College, this college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The classrooms, laboratories, libraries, etc. are clean and well maintained. The laboratories have enough equipments to accomodate a batch of 30 students. The computer labs have been upgraded with new, better processors and ram. The sports department is very active in our college.

    Academics

I am currently pursuing BTech CSE. Most of the teachers are polite. Some teachers may have attitude problems. The quality of teaching is average. Some teachers are excellent and give proper time to theory lectures and labs. Some teachers just teach for the sake of completing the syllabus. The curriculum is not really updated. I think it is very old and doesn't catch up with the recent developments in the field. You can't be job ready until you study extra on your own.

    Placements

The quality of placement of the college is not so good. It is pretty average. The average package is around 3.5 lakhs per annum. Despite in the past years some good companies have come like BYJU's which took over 10 students with 9LPA. Recently Paytm has taken some students with 7.5LPA. Last year 5-6 students have also been selected in Amazon Cloud Support with package of 18LPA.

    Value for Money

The college fees is nearly same for all the four years in case of BTech. It is around 1 lakh 6 thousands. According to the facilities, library and labs the money is still worthy. You can issue upto 2 books from the library on your library card. You can participate in different sports. You can be a part of many societies. It can develop your personality for sure

    Campus Life

The college campus is quite big as compared to other colleges of GGSIPU. The college also conduct an annual fest which is called INNOVIZ. According to them it's the second best fest after ther University fest that is Anugoonj. The location of the college is not good. The location is very much polluted and dirty. The canteen food has good quality. There is provision of medical facilities.

    The college is nice

    College Infrastructure

yes, the college includes necessary equipments, infrastructure & facilities. We have almost all facilities, we have WiFi, smart boards etc etc. even after the fees is too high, the classes are without AC & this thing sucks!

    Academics

I’m studying BBA, the quality of teaching is pretty nice & teachers are friendly. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. What i study makes me almost job ready.

    Placements

The quality of placements for btech course has been nice but its 3rd year of BBA this time and lets see how much placements do students who’re in final year. The placements are very new for BBA course in this college.

    Value for Money

The cost for 1st year was around 74-75k and in second year it is around 68k, Yes i believe I’m partially getting the worth of my money!

    Campus Life

The college is really big & we are blessed with nice area to chill but security guards comes all the time to interrupt us and never allows us to sit in the campus! This thing sucks!

    Hey Aman,

If you want to take a drop year and prepare for a better college or join any lower tier college this year is and should be entirely your decision and let no one else take this decision for you.

However, how others as well as me (here) can help you is provide you with the pros and cons of the dilemma you're undergoing.

Now, to begin with your JEE percentile might not allow you to take admission in any of the top-tier colleges.

TRUE , but unlike many other aspirants you are clear in your goals that you want to pursue a career in CSE.

Most of us prefer top tier colleges just to be around the best brains and majorly to develop a perspective in life which may not be the case with you. Also a good score in JEE will not get you anywhere in life other than a good college, wherein also, your efforts will build your future.

Also, I would like to add, in the software industry your skills are given more preference to the college you've done your graduation from and it often happens that students from a lower tier college ends up getting more paid.

This being said, it is also true, that a top tier college gives you peers being around whom helps you develop and hone your skills in a symbiotic manner and this makes you a better person in life. Not to forget the alumni network you become a part of, might also come in handy in several occasions.

Also resume shortlisting may have some effect over others (belonging from a lower tier college), but do remember its your skills that you develop in these 4 years or over time that will take you further in life.

Now, its entirely your decision what you want to do. You know yourself better than anyone else and therefore do retrospect and come out with the most logical decision you feel is correct.

    All the best :)
